Virtual Wine Tasting

Learn (and Taste) The Story of Hungarian Wine ... Virtually!

During Covid we brought the Taste Hungary wine experience into homes all around the world, and our online tastings are still going strong. Virtual tastings (via Zoom) are a great way to continue our mission of introducing you to new ideas, flavors, and stories about Hungarian culinary culture.

This tasting can be an opportunity for a virtual team-building session with colleagues, or to connect with wine-loving friends. Get creative! This can be the basis of a virtual potluck or dinner party, or the start to an evening of virtual socializing which continues after the tasting ends.

Here’s how it works:


  1. 1You must register to this event through the PPS website. - Please check whether the company can deliver wine to your country (shipping is possible to most EU countries, UK, and US, see full list below٭).
    - If you wish to join AND receive the tasting package (three bottles of wine and three pieces of cheese) you must provide your delivery address and make your payment (£70 incl. package, taxes and shipping cost) on the PPS registration site.
    - If you wish to join the event on Zoom without ordering wine (not drinking wine or delivery is not possible to your place) you must opt the “Free- No wine” option when registering. .

  2. The PPS will send the orders to the company “Taste Hungary” and they will ship the wines to the participants (mainly through DPD).
    Please complete your registration by Wednesday 27th July to allow time for placing the order, packing and shipping.
    Your order should be delivered before the Zoom event to your door.

  3. You will get a link to the Zoom event for 8th of September, 8.00 GMT, 9.00 CET Everyone will meet on Zoom at the appointed time for a "live" virtual tasting with one of the sommeliers of Taste Hungary!

  4. Taste Hungary's sommelier will guide you through the tasting, as you all drink the same wines! The tasting will be both educational and fun, with plenty of chances for interaction and questions.

The Cost

Everybody is welcome to join the Zoom presentation on Hungarian wine types and wine making traditions - focusing on the chosen varieties. (You may wish to opt for this if you don't drink wine or stay somewhere where shipping is not possible).

If you choose the full package for this team-building event, you will have to provide a delivery address and pay £70 to cover shipping costs and price of the sampling package which includes 3 bottles of good wine (see below) and 3 pieces of artisan locally produced cheese. Once your order arrived, store it in a cool dry place. You'll get a link for the Zoom event for 8th of September, 8.00 GMT, 9.00 CET and once you join in the sommelier will guide you...
