Overview


Title: The genetics behind GTD


Summary: This presentation will describe the genetic constitution of molar pregnancies and how genetic and other related tests can inform the diagnosis of abnormal products of conception. It will outline how genetic testing, namely short tandem repeating (STR) genotyping, is informative for the diagnosis and management of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia.


Title: Molar pregnancy


Summary: This talk will cover the key morphological features required for diagnosis of molar gestations. Common pitfalls and mimics such as villous dysmorphism and placental mesenchymal dysplasia shall also be discussed.
